How to Hunt with Pack Vadon
The Hunt is a capture-the-flag-style game. There are Hunters and there is Prey. At the designated time, Prey is released and given a 30-second head start. Prey may do anything to avoid capture, as long as they remain within the hunt zone, which will be marked.
Each Prey has white elastic bracelets—one for each Hunter. For example, if there are 10 Hunters, each Prey has 10 white bracelets. Every time Prey is caught, they will surrender one white bracelet to the Hunter, after which both may continue.
In addition, every participant wears a colored ribbon that has a specific meaning.
Game Duration
The hunt lasts until time is up (2 hours) or all players are finished.
Prey may return to base camp for more white bracelets if they wish to continue after running out.
Participants may quit at any time.
What Happens When Prey is Caught?
That depends on the ribbon color the Prey is wearing (these are cloth squares). Everyone should be familiar with the ribbon meanings—especially Hunters.
Ribbon Colors
Hunters: Wear royal blue wrapped around the arm.
Prey: Wear their ribbon tucked into the back of their waist or otherwise clearly visible.
Solid Colors: Indicate openness to sexual engagement. This does not mean consent is assumed. Consent must be obtained before any sexual contact. If a solid-color Prey declines sexual activity, respect that—exchange ribbons and continue.
BDSM consent rules apply. Sexual engagement does not automatically mean penetrative sex. Solid colors indicate a level of comfort, not obligation.
Color Code (Based on BDSM Traffic Light System):
Green: Light interaction. May include grabbing arms, blocking, tapping, or minimal “vanilla” sexual contact.
Yellow: Medium interaction. Grabbing any part of the body is okay; shoving or pulling is allowed (light roughhousing only). No takedowns or forced grounding. “Rough sex” style permitted with consent.
Red: High-intensity play. Takedowns, grounding, and forceful actions allowed (biting, scratching, light choking). Still not CNC. No means no. If unsure—ask.
Special Circumstance Colors
Black: CNC (Consensual Non-Consent) play is permitted. Black ribbons may only be worn with approval from Kali. CNC play is only allowed between Black-ribboned players.
Purple: One Hunter and one Prey—an exclusive couple. They are not to be approached or involved by others. If CNC is desired, Black ribbon approval is still required.
Orange: Indicates that the Prey is open to multiple Hunters simultaneously. This ribbon is worn in addition to their color-coded ribbon (Green, Yellow, Red, etc.).
All Participants Must Know:
Ribbon colors indicate possibility, not obligation. No one is required to engage, no matter the ribbon color.
BDSM consent rules apply at all times. Consent must be clearly given—asking and receiving a "yes" is required.
Use Green/Yellow/Red check-ins regularly during play.
You may return to base camp or quit at any time, for any reason.
You may switch from Hunter to Prey (or vice versa) or change ribbon colors only at base camp. New ribbons must be issued by a monitor.
If someone is injured, do not move them. Find a Hunt Monitor (HM) immediately. We have healthcare professionals on site.
If you suspect an issue (e.g., sexual assault or fighting), do not intervene. Get an HM. Exception: If someone is not wearing a ribbon, they are not authorized to be there—they must be removed.
If your ribbon is lost or removed, return to base camp for a replacement immediately.
Anyone participating in sexual play must carry condoms. Use them. Do not litter. Bring your used supplies back and dispose of them properly (Ziploc bags are useful).
Do not act with disproportionate aggression or violence. This will be treated as a consent violation.
Hunt Monitors function like Dungeon Monitors and have the final say in all matters.
Final Note
Letting your primal side out doesn’t give you permission to act like a jerk. Being feral ≠ being disrespectful.
Hunt with Honor. Hunt Well.
If you’d like to use this as a template for your own hunt, please feel free—but give credit where it’s due. I and others have worked hard on this. Please don’t plagiarize.
