Hunt Rules and Guidelines

1. General Rules

  1. You must be vetted to hunt.
Please refer to the section on vetting for details.

  2. Orientation is mandatory.
There will always be an orientation immediately before the Hunt. If you do not attend this orientation, you will not be allowed to participate.

    • The Hunt zone may change depending on the location and type of Hunt.

    • You are always expected to stay within the Hunt zone, which will be clearly marked and reviewed during orientation.

    • Even though we have both campgrounds, there may be other campers nearby. Keep all Hunt activities away from roads.

  3. Wear appropriate attire.

    • Dress up and get into it, but make sure your clothing is suitable for running in the woods or over uneven, rocky terrain.

    • Wear good shoes. Boots are strongly encouraged; solid runners are acceptable.

    • If your shoes aren’t appropriate, you will not be allowed to hunt.

  4. Bring condoms and/or recent STI test results.

    • We can’t enforce condom use during the Hunt, but you are having sex with strangers in the woods. Don’t be an idiot.

  5. Absolutely no drugs or alcohol before or during the Hunt.

  6. Consent is everything.

    • Consent violations will be addressed immediately.

    • Hunt Monitors (similar to Dungeon Monitors) will be patrolling. Treat them with respect.

    • Make sure you're okay with the meanings of the ribbon colors you're wearing. You can return to base camp and switch colors at any time.

2. For Hunters

This may be a wild, feral, savage thing — but don’t be a dick.

  • Treat fellow players with respect.

  • Don’t be disproportionately aggressive.

  • It is your responsibility to know the color system and act accordingly. If you’re unsure, ask first — people are playing at different levels.

  • Not everyone is primal or into fighting — and that’s okay.

We welcome participants from the LGBTQ+ community.

  • Trans men are men. Trans women are women. Gender is fluid.

  • You may choose who you engage with, but homophobia or transphobia will not be tolerated.

  • Violations will result in immediate removal from the Hunt and the event, and a permanent ban from Pack Vadon events.

3. For Prey

  • Know your limits.

  • You can change your ribbon colors at any time.

  • You are not obligated by your ribbon colors — they indicate what you’re open to, not what is guaranteed.

  • Hunters must check in with you before any sexual or rough play.

If someone makes you uncomfortable, “No” is a full sentence.
You do not need to explain yourself.

  • If you believe you may be triggered by anything that might occur or be seen during the Hunt, consider not participating.

  • Be familiar with RACK and PRICK. Know your own risk profile.

4. RACK, PRICK, and YKINMK

  • RACK = Risk-Aware Consensual Kink

  • PRICK = Personal Responsibility Informed Consensual Kink

In the context of the Hunt:

  • You know this is risky — possibly a little crazy — and you're choosing to do it anyway.

  • You accept responsibility for what happens.

  • You’ve considered the risks and still choose to take part.

There will be Hunt Monitors in the zone, medical professionals on hand, and a well-stocked first aid kit.
We’ll take care of you — but we’re not responsible if you fall into a cactus.

  • YKINMK = Your Kink Is Not My Kink
You may witness things you don’t like or agree with. It’s not your place to judge or interfere.
Unless someone is screaming “red,” move along.
If you have concerns, find a Hunt Monitor.

5. Triggers

Some scenes may resemble sexual assault — but they are consensual.

  • Do not interfere unless someone is clearly in distress or calls “red.”

  • If this might be triggering for you, seriously reconsider participating.

  • PRICK applies — you can leave the Hunt at any time, but your reactions are your responsibility.

6. Patterned Ribbons

  • A patterned ribbon means no sexual activity.

  • Do not ask for, expect, or suggest sex.

Here’s what each color allows — with no sex involved:

  • Green: Hugging, handshakes, or the Viking arm shake.

  • Yellow: Grabbing, pushing, pulling.

  • Red: Takedowns and rolling around like MMA fighters.

Pushing for sex is a consent violation.

7. BDSM Scene Rules

  • Treat scenes during the Hunt like scenes at a play party.

  • Do not interfere, hover, or wait to pounce when someone finishes.

  • Do not try to join in — unless there’s an orange ribbon.

Be a hunter, not a scavenger.

Final Note

Be cool. Hunt with honor and respect for your fellow participants.
And STAY WILD.
